DESIGNING AND DELIVERING LEARNING

What I offer
Designing and delivering highly engaging learning experiences is an on-going challenge in any organisation. It is often difficult for 'insiders' to see and appreciate resistances to learning in positive terms and design processes that are transformative. I can take an idea or a set of ideas and turn them into a course of learning over one day, several days or weeks, or even months. I can design the ‘architecture’ of learning as well as creating and writing learning materials which I, or others, can facilitate. I can co-create with you a learning process for your organisation or staff conference or ‘away-day’.

What I bring
More than thirty years of experience as an adult educator, utilising principles which start with “trusting the learners” (Freire). Always being a learner alongside those who are learning.

How it works
Pitch me your idea and we take it from there.

The Diocese of Birmingham. Working with Harvey Kwiyani I created  a four session course called "Two-Way Street: Steps to Intercultural Life and Mission" which has been used in several churches. They say it is: "An inspiring, transforming resource for intercultural mission". See: https://birmingham.learn.anglican.org/course/view.php?id=221#home

The Ugly Duckling Company- I took a basic idea around practices that contribute to happiness and created a six-week learning programme. I then facilitated the first running of the programme in front of a camera – see http://www.thehappinesslab.org/ The feedback I received was universally positive and the results speak for themselves on the resource we created.
